What counts toward the Free limit?

Only unfinished tasks count toward the 50. A task counts while it is still alive in your list, and drops off the moment it reaches a terminal status — Done or Canceled. Inbox and Scheduled are counted together.

The limit is not a judgment

If you hit 50 unfinished tasks, it does not mean you are bad at planning. It usually means your work and life have outgrown a small list. Pro gives your tasks more space without changing how Running List works.
